Wayne Monteith is a retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General with more than 30 years of military service, including command of the 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, where he oversaw space launch operations at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Following his military career, he served as Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), leading the Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) and overseeing the licensing and regulatory framework for U.S. commercial space launches and reentries. He currently serves as President and CEO of Space Florida, the state’s aerospace finance and development authority. His experience spans military space operations, federal space regulation, and commercial space development.
