Alaska Aerospace Corporation Announces Craig E Campbell Become President and Chief Operating

Dale Nash, Alaska Aerospace Corporation Chief Executive Officer announced today that former Lieutenant Governor Craig E. Campbell will become the President and Chief Operating Officer for Alaska Aerospace Corporation effective February 15, 2011. “I am pleased to have Craig join our team at AAC. He brings a wealth of state and federal government experience which will be invaluable as we pursue a more diversified business portfolio in aerospace across Alaska.” Mr. Nash commented.

Craig Campbell is replacing Mr. Tom Case, who has accepted a new position as Chancellor for the University of Alaska, Anchorage. “I want to thank Tom Case for his outstanding support and service to Alaska Aerospace Corporation. Under Tom’s leadership, AAC has achieved tremendous success in our launch capabilities. During the past three years, AAC has continued to mature from a development company into a significant national aerospace business. I know that the University of Alaska is gaining one of Alaska’s finest leaders.” Mr. Nash stated.

“I am thrilled at this opportunity to return to the business sector and I am especially excited about working in the aerospace industry in Alaska. Alaska Aerospace Corporation has established a premier launch complex at Kodiak and is well positioned to capitalize on advanced space launch and aerospace industry opportunities for Alaska. I look forward to being part of a dynamic team, focused on business growth that will stimulate more aerospace investment in Alaska and create more high-skilled job opportunities for Alaskans.“ Mr. Campbell said.

Campbell most recently served as Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor, having been appointed in 2009 by Governor Sarah Palin. Prior to that, he was the Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and the Adjutant General in charge of the Alaska National Guard, retiring in 2009 at the rank of Lieutenant General (AK). In that role, he was instrumental in the development of the missile defense operation at Ft. Greely, Alaska, where the Alaska Army National Guard performs the operations and security missions. Through his leadership, the Alaska National Guard also expanded into space surveillance by transitioning the Air Force operational mission at Clear AFS, Alaska into an associate operation with the Alaska Air National Guard.

Mr. Campbell holds degrees from the University of Tulsa, Golden Gate University, and the Naval War College.
