Jeff Roberts, aerospace engineer for the Alaska Aerospace Corporation, was named to the Alaska Journal of Commerce Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 class of 2014, honored today during a luncheon at the Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center in Anchorage.
Roberts, 36, joined the corporation in 2008. He is responsible for launch operations and business development, including the diversification of the corporation’s aerospace services. During his oversight, the corporation has executed four successful launches, for a 16-0 mission performance record.
“That’s why I’m here,” Roberts said of the corporation’s launch operations success, “…to get more business and continue our perfect launch record.”
He was nominated by Alaska Aerospace Corporation President and CEO Craig Campbell, and selected by a Morris Communications management committee from more than 120 individuals statewide.
“All of us at Alaska Aerospace are thrilled at this distinguished recognition for Jeff; being selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Alaska marks a highlight in this talented young man’s career,” Campbell said. “As the corporation expands its commercial capabilities, Jeff will be an integral part of our leadership team.”
Roberts is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and serves as a Major in the Alaska Army National Guard, following eight years of active duty. He and his wife, Janelle, live in Palmer with their four children. Their fifth child is due in June.
